Overview:
Our Overweight Blood Test is a blood test panel to find medical causes of being overweight as well as showing the effects of being overweight on the body.
People can become overweight from hormonal imbalance which can be corrected, e.g. thyroid issues. Being overweight can also trigger changes in the body, such as insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol, which increase the risk of illness. The Overweight Blood Test checks for both the causes and effects of weight gain.

Fasting: Fasting is not strictly required. It has only a slight effect on your cholesterol results. However, it will give you more accurate triglyceride (a type of fat) results, and is required for a fasting glucose test. In these cases, you should fast for 8-10 hours before the test; you can drink water without any problem.
- Medications: Continue to take any prescribed medications as usual, unless advised otherwise.
- Purchase your test(s) online making sure to give the name and date of birth of the person(s) taking the test. These details are required by the lab to uniquely identify your sample.
- You will get a confirmation email from us.
- We will process your order within an hour; Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
- Then, look out for the booking link email from our partner laboratory, Randox Health.

- Attend to do your test.
- Results are emailed to you.
